Our Mission
Ewa Gentry Medical Cannabis Card is committed to helping qualifying residents better understand Hawaiʻi’s medical cannabis system without making the process seem more complicated than it needs to be. We focus on explaining the relationship between medical evaluation, provider certification, 329 registration, and the responsibilities that follow once a card is issued.
Medical cannabis is a healthcare decision rather than simply an application process. We believe patients should have access to clear information that allows them to discuss possible benefits, limitations, and risks with an appropriate healthcare professional. Research has examined cannabis and cannabinoids in relation to pain and other medical concerns, but whether cannabis is appropriate depends on the circumstances of the individual patient.
Who We Are
Ewa Gentry Medical Cannabis Card provides guidance for people trying to understand Hawaiʻi’s Medical Cannabis Registry Program for the first time as well as patients returning for renewal.
The program involves several roles that can sometimes be confused. A physician or APRN determines whether medical certification is appropriate, the patient completes the registration requirements, and the Hawaiʻi Department of Health administers the registry and issues the 329 card. Our purpose is to help patients understand those differences and know what is expected at each stage.
Our Commitment
Practical Patient Guidance: We explain the 329 process in straightforward language so Ewa Gentry residents can understand what must happen before state registration is issued.
Respect for Confidential Information: Medical records and identifying information should receive careful handling throughout evaluation, certification, and application assistance.
Hawaiʻi-Centered Information: Our guidance reflects Hawaiʻi’s medical cannabis terminology, registry requirements, caregiver structure, and patient responsibilities.
Support Throughout Registration: Patient questions do not necessarily end after the first application. We also help residents understand renewal, caregiver information, grow-site considerations, and other parts of maintaining an active 329 registration.
Joining Hands with the Community
Responsible participation in Hawaiʻi’s medical cannabis program requires more than simply possessing a valid card. Patients must remain aware of restrictions involving possession, cultivation, transportation, public use, and impaired driving.
Hawaiʻi prohibits medical cannabis use in public places, and the state’s smoke-free laws also apply to medical cannabis. Registered patient status does not authorize driving while impaired.
Our Vision
Our goal is for Ewa Gentry residents to approach medical cannabis with a clear understanding of both the potential healthcare role and the legal responsibilities associated with 329 registration.
We envision qualifying patients being able to move through medical certification and state registration with reliable information, realistic expectations, and appropriate professional guidance.
Thank you for choosing Ewa Gentry Medical Cannabis Card. We are committed to helping patients better understand Hawaiʻi’s program and make informed decisions about medical cannabis.
